Why a GDF

Nuclear Waste Services (NWS), formerly known as Radio Active Waste Management, came to Infocandy needing a set of 20 short form animations each about 15 seconds in length. They needed them to be on brand, to loop, to work across all of their social profiles, and they needed them completed in six weeks.
We conceptualised, storyboarded, and illustrated the animations, whilst simultaneously developing their visual identity within three weeks, leaving us three weeks to turn it all into a set of films ready to be released to the public.
With that target hit, and the videos boosting their social engagement to figures they had never before experienced, it was the start of a beautiful relationship and we still continue to work with them to this day.
We have gone on to create animated web banners for PPC campaigns, deep-dive three minute animations around some of the more complicated topics they wanted to discuss, and shorter FAQ animations to help the general public put their mind at ease with the questions they were asking most.
At the time we were approached, NWS didn’t have a concrete visual style across all of their communications. They had a selection of various infographics and images on their Twitter page and on their website but nothing consistent. The first thing we did was to create still images in a variety of different styles until we honed the perfect identity for them. Once we had this clear, creating the films became much more straight forward.
